With 35 years of relevant hands-on experience - an experienced
executive director, technical manager, and technical management
consultant specialising in the strategy and technology of
new products and effective internet applications for business.
Extensive experience in marketing strategy, sales and
technical sales support roles, direct marketing, and company
technical strategy. Familiar with current management techniques,
current software and electronics development methodologies,
and international quality assurance standards (ISO 9001 and
TickIT).
Experience includes
- 6 years as Managing Director of Working Internet Limited,
specialising in the development and hosting of special internet
applications and web sites for business.
- 16 years as Managing Director and later Chief Executive
of Inovex Technology Group plc, a £2m+ group of small hi-tech
companies specialising in the design and development of
new products and the provision of turnkey systems for MOD
and large commercial clients.
- 15 years with IBM (UK) Ltd in UK and IBM Corporation
in USA, both as a manager and as a designer, working in
the research and advanced development divisions on new
software methodologies, new software products and new
software product strategies
- Cambridge University PhD, Fellow of the Institute of
Management and Member of the Institute of Directors
